The British Invasion is sweeping across America like the plague. Every girl from the age of 9 to 99 are in love with the hunky guys with beautiful accents in One Direction. Gym Bag Essentials!

Going to the gym is difficult enough on its own, but then you throw in the mass chaos going through your head trying to think of everything you need to pack to be prepared at this torture chamber they call a fitness center. So to make the process of getting your dream body a little less painful I put together a few necessities that I never show up at the gym without!

You never know where you will meet Mr. Right, and do you really want to meet him at the gym wearing baggy sweatpants and your old t-shirt with paint stains and cat hair on it? Didn't think so. Put together your gym outfit the way you pick out any outfit, with care and consideration. Know what looks good on your body! Believe me, if you feel good about what you are wearing, you will feel good about the way you look.

There is nothing worse than feeling sweaty and greasy after working out, put a little bit of this dry shampoo in your hair and you will get instant clean and volumized hair. It won't even look like you have been to the gym!

If you plan on going anywhere after you work out, PLEASE for the sake of all of us, don't go around all stinky.. don't be that girl. There is a special place in Hell for that B.O. smell..YUCK. So after you kicked butt and took names at the gym slide some of this deodorant on and you are good to go! This scent also comes in a body mist if you want to smell extra fresh!

Fashion Victim of the 90s.

I was looking at old pictures today and started to feel a bit nostalgic/nauseous when I was looking at all the clothes my mother forced me to wear. I was a child of the 90s and while there were a few magical things that came out of that decade like NSYNC and F.R.I.E.N.D.S. the fashion was just horrific.

                I remember when I was around twelve years old my mom forced me to wear Oshkosh B'gosh overalls and these hideous Timberland boots to the local high school football game. And I couldn’t reason with her that Johnny, my secret crush, would just think I was a total loser if I wore those farmer clothes instead of my glittery Limited Too mini skirt. Moms have this sick fascination with dressing their children up in such a torturous way that it should be illegal in at least 30 states. I ended up hiding under the bleachers all night in fear of being seen by my classmates. You think I’m being dramatic? Just take a look at this train wreck that the 90s called fashion.

 

I also remember having this odd fascination with Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. I didn’t have a twin, but I did have a best friend so we decide we would get matching pleather vests and round sunglasses so that we could look like twins when we went to school. Keep in mind my friend has platinum blonde hair and I have dark brown hair also she is a good 6 inches taller than I am, but that didn’t matter because those sunglasses were our disguise. We were too cool for school. 

When my mom wasn’t torturing me with Timberland boots she was taking on a whole new form of punishment by putting me in an oversized sweater with a huge teddy bear on the front of it. I looked ridiculous, and I’m sure all my friends had a good laugh behind my back about that disgusting sweater, but my mom thought I was just “cute as a button”. Ugh.

 

Bless my mom’s heart she is a sweet lady, but the plague of bad fashion takes no prisoners. We were both the victims of outrageous 90s fashion. Thank goodness that is in the past, I’m sure my Ugg boots and leggings will always be super stylish. (sarcasm to the max). Hope you had a good laugh at my misfortune!

Princess Kate Look For Under $100!

I have always felt like I have been living the life of Cinderella.. if she fell and broke her ankle so the shoe wouldn’t fit and she would never find her prince charming. Let's be honest what girl doesn't want to be a princess, if you say you don't you are lying or just plain weird because honestly it sounds like a pretty perfect life. But since I don't see Prince Harry knocking on my door anytime soon, I at least want to dress like a princess, that's where my obsession with Kate Middleton's closet comes into play. She is just so simply elegant she seems almost unreal. So in my usual fashion I did some recreations of a Kate Middleton look, and everything was under $100! Enjoy!
