Makeup For Less!

I am a girl so of course I love makeup, hair products, and pretty much anything that sparkles. But I have champagne taste with a warm beer budget. So here are some of my tips on how I get the Hollywood look on a budget.

1.        If you watch any YouTube make up tutorial, they are always raving about face primers. And I have to admit those beauty gurus know what they are doing, so I trust them. However, I just don’t have the money to spend 50 dollars on face primer. However, do you see that jar of Vaseline in your medicine cabinet? It does that same thing as a face primer does. I’m going to let that sink in for a second because I know you are having a heart attack from all of the excitement. Yep, Vaseline is a household product that is so versatile; you can use it for a moisturizer and even a lip balm.

2.        Makeup brushes are outrageously expensive. But if you go to a local craft store and look at the paint brushes you will notice the similarities in those brushes to the ones in the department stores selling for 20 dollars apiece. That’s right ladies; you are literally painting your face on. You can usually buy a pack of brushes that have all of your essential makeup brushes for cheaper than you can buy that foundation brush you have been eyeballing at ULTA for the past month.

3.        A lot of name brand make up stores will give out samples for free, so before you bite the bullet and buy one of their products, test it out. Fall in love with it before you buy it.
