Words,
they can be used for good or evil. Even though you feel so small in this
universe, the impact you can have on someone’s life is larger than you could
ever imagine. The words you use represent who you are and what you stand for.
You can tell someone they are beautiful forty times a day, but say they could
lose some weight once, and I promise you they won’t remember the compliments
you gave before the harsh criticism because they are too busy obsessing about
what they eat. Words stick to a person’s soul like glue, they are with them
forever.
We
throw around negative statements about people like they are invincible, yet are
surprised about the increase of suicides. The world doesn’t have to be an ugly
place. I don’t care if you are rich, poor, black or white; you are important.
No matter who tells you to give up because you won’t amount to anything or if
you don’t feel loved, change your surroundings. Work hard so you can go to
college and prove those haters wrong. Hate is not a disease; you don’t have to
spread it. I hope you instead are the cure for bullying; life is too short to
spend most of your time trying to make someone feel as bad as you do.
With love,
Darcy.
